TThis sign below marks the spot in which Oprah lived as a child.

 Oprah went to school and became an honors student.  Winfrey then won a scholarship to Tennessee State University based on her communication abilities.  This is the University Oprah attended in Tennessee.  The picture below is Winfrey’s high school photo.

 Oprah started to speak out what she thought was wrong.  People herd and began to take it into consideration that maybe she was right.  Winfrey started a program in Africa to try to make school for girls to attend.  She made enough money and proudly dug her shovel into the ground for the ground breaking ceremony.

 Oprah was Americas first black person to be one of Americas 400 most richest people.  In 2002 Winfrey’s magazine started up. In 2005 Winfrey was named greatest Woman in America history as a part of public poll and as part of the greatest American in which she ranked 9th place in the list of greatest Americans.

 Rosa Parks would compare to Oprah Winfrey because she fought for African American people and there rights and that is perseverance.  Rosa parks even risked her life for her people when she didn’t move on the bus and she stayed there until she got arrested.  Oprah didn’t stand for the cruelness whites gave to African Americans  They both gained more and more rights every time they talked because people began to realize that African Americans are not any different than whites.
