Biome By Sean Rice

Taiga’s Plant Life Taiga has few deciduous trees like Birch , Alder , Willow and more; Taiga also has many evergreen trees like Fir and Pine trees; and These trees help prey animals take shelter from larger animals.

Taiga’s Animals Most of the Taiga animals are mammals because of the climate; Most reptiles avoid the Taiga also because of its climate; Wolfs and lynx are the main 3rd consumers of the Taiga; and Bears are one of the largest consumers in the Taiga Biome.

Taigas Climate and Geography The Taiga climate is cool and has a moderate precipitation; The Taiga biome stretches from west central Canada to eastern Russia which makes it the largest biome in the world; and The Taiga climate is suited for furry and plump mammals because they can produce body heat.

Interesting Facts The Taiga Biome is the most forested biome in the world; The Taiga is prone to wildfires, because of this, many trees have adapted by growing thick bark; Old trees can be found in the taiga some trees are thousands of years old; and The Taiga covers 11% percent of earth.
