JUMP ROPE FOR HEART FARMINGTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL – February 3, 2012

Students get instructions from Physical Education Teacher Jon Ostgaard who coordinates the event for the school.

Students took turns working through activity stations, here a group is working on a team jump rope.

Hula Hoops and individual jump ropes were part of the mix..

Students kept moving in staggered rigorous two-minute sessions. It was a work out but fun at the same time.

The breakfast was sponsored by area businesses! THANK YOU! Jump Rope for Heart posters helped the students get ideas for different types of jumps!

The gym station also has posters about the heart so students can learn about how blood flows through the system!

Over 100 students took part in the event. By the way, it was Jersey Day at the school.

Banners in the gym station show the long standing commitment of Farmington Elementary to Jump Rope for Heart. To date, the school has raised in excess of $85,000 for the effort.
