Look at the cartoon below. Why have all the Covenants so far been difficult to keep? To explain the promises & demands of God’s Covenant through Jesus To compare it Jesus’ Covenant with the other Covenants

In God’s Covenant through Jesus, we still need to keep God’s laws and walk in faith, not sinning. But in Jesus’ Covenant we can be forgiven if we break the Commandments, and so we can still have eternal life in heaven. We also get given Jesus’ spirit, to help us keep the Commandments and live a blameless life. GOD’s covenant THROUGH Jesus 1.Explain 2 ways that being in a Covenant with Jesus is better. 2.How do you think it could be different, if you have Jesus’ spirit inside of you? 3.Draw the speech bubbles for the Covenant with Jesus. **What do you think happened to the other promises God made to Abraham, Moses and David? (land, nation, good life & blessing, everlasting King?)

Jesus’ Covenant is better because.. You can be forgiven You don’t have to keep the 10C’s You have God’s help to follow Him You must be circumcised

1.What was the sacrifice that sealed Jesus’ covenant? Explain and draw. 2.What is the sign that we have today, of Jesus’ sacrifice? Explain and draw. **Why do you think people call Jesus the “lamb of God”?

1.Draw & label the flow chart. 2.Explain 2 ways that God’s covenants with us get bigger and better. …’s covenant was made with God and only a …...but …..’s covenant was made with God and … ….’s covenant has better promises than … ‘s because… Covenant with an individual family (Noah, Abraham) Covenant with a tribe through a prophet (Jews from Egypt, Moses) Covenant with a nation & their King (Kingdom of Israel, King David) Unbreakable Covenant with all people, through Jesus - God’s own Son – he takes the penalties. Our everlasting King.
