I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more Result: they shall all know Me from the least to the greatest The Permanence of Israel (v35-37) If the fixed order of the sun, moon and starts departs from before the Lord, then the offspring of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before Him forever and if the heavens above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out below, then He will also cast off all the offspring of Israel for all that they have done 2. Matthew 26:26-29 - for the forgiveness of sins 1. Jesus took some bread, and after a blessing, He broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is My body” 2, when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins. 2. Luke 22:14-20 – by His Blood 1. when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He said, “Take this and share it among yourselves 2. when He had taken some bread and given thanks, He broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 3. in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood.” The Four Cups of Passover 1. Cup of Salvation 2. Cup of Instruction 3. Cup of Redemption 4. Cup of Praise 3. 1 Corinthians 11:23-34 The Memorial (v23-26) 1. the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread; 24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it, and said, “This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 2. In the same way He took the cup also, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” 3. For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes. The Judgment (v27-34) 1. Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord 2. For he who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgment to himself, if he does not judge the body rightly Before Taking the Lord’s Supper: 1. let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.. 2. when you come together to eat, wait for one another. If anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, so that you may not come together for judgment 3. judge yourselves rightly, so you should not be judged What Happens if Someone Takes the Lord’s Supper Unworthily 1. when we are judged, we are disciplined by the Lord in order that we may not be condemned along with the world 2. For this reason many among you are weak and sick, and a number sleep 4. 2 Corinthians 3:1-18 – From Glory to Glory Tablets of Stone on Human Hearts (v1-3) The Letter vs The Spirit (v4-6) Ministry of Death vs Ministry of the Spirit (v7-8) Ministry of Condemnation vs Ministry of Righteousness (v9-11) Veiled Face vs Unveiled Face
