LMG Forum 2011 Questions?
With London Market Group The final curtain Barnabas Hurst-Bannister Chairman, London Market Group,
LMG Forum 2011 The London market in July 2009 Like Christopher Columbus we had got somewhere and it seemed quite nice But we had no idea where it was or where we should go next
LMG Forum 2011 The London market in July 2009 Contract certainty IMR Nascent endorsements Lots of stuff; some benefit but not much joined up
LMG Forum 2011 Enter a knight on a white boat
LMG Forum 2011 Two and a half years on… Future Process vision Exchange Endorsements Direct Accounting ECF2 (half of) eAccounts More stuff More benefit More of a clue
LMG Forum 2011 Why? All four constituents like each other more than they did We continue to grow up in our attitude to projects We have had a period of consensus
LMG Forum 2011 But… We must resist the temptation to go off on our own
LMG Forum 2011 But… We must retain our ambition
LMG Forum 2011 But… Although more mature, are we much past adolescence?
LMG Forum 2011 But… We still do not measure enough – this makes it hard to drive our programme
LMG Forum 2011 And.. Will the irresistible march of technology make some of our sacred cows redundant – can automation replace central service? Do we understand/think enough of the aspects of human behaviour that make front office technology difficult?
LMG Forum 2011 And.. Will the new entrants be corrupted by the old guard or can they bring change?
LMG Forum 2011 Its over to you…
