National Weather Service Wear mittens, they are warmer than gloves. Wear several layers of clothing. Several layers are warmer than a single garment. Layers should include wool and a windbreaker. Wear a hood that covers your mouth. Wear a hat and ear muffs. Don't move away from the house without a lifeline during a heavy snow storm or blizzard. Winter!
