PROS OF COAL MINING By, Local Businessman

The pros of coal mining Coal mining builds economies and communities by: Creating new jobs Creating cheap energy Mining companies pay taxes that support local and national royalties. Inexpensive to buy on open market due to large reserves and easy access ability Easily transported worldwide Coal is very inexpensive It’s easily mined

Creating new jobs. Coal mining creates thousands of jobs each year and is at a total 7 million jobs worldwide. The average wage for a coal miner that works 18 hours a week is around 90,000 to 100,000 All coal mining companies have some type of health insurance guaranteed to all workers

Creating cheap energy. Coal is the cheapest energy source out of all other major energy sources It’s quite cheap to mine and most coal is from America so most all transportation cost are cut in half States that run on coal for electricity cost 36% less for electric bills than states that don’t Almost all eastern states run on coal for electricity

Coals impact on plants/animals. It is true that mining and burning coal is somewhat harmful to nature and wildlife, but not as much as people think. Burning coal dose create a variety of chemical's that pollute the air, and water Only 10% of all pollutants in the air are created from coal burning/ mining Company's that mine or burn coal are working to make them a cleaner and less pollutant energy source

Coal facts. Here are just some of the things coal did today.
