Homecoming Color Wars Guidelines:  You must submit an with a list of 10 student volunteers that will assist in this event to Ms. Stewart by October 16th.  This list will then be distributed to all Middle/High Teachers. (ONLY THE STUDENTS LISTED WILL BE EXCUSED FROM CLASS and RECEIVE WRISTBANDS! )  Your organization must secure its own TENT, tables, chairs, extension cords, etc.  We will NOT be distributing tents out to any organization.  On the day of the event, your organization will be assigned a location in the courtyard by the Activities Director starting at 7:30 am based on electricity needs and activity.  Preference will be given to those organizations that require extension cords.  Your organization is responsible for the set-up AND clean-up after the Field Day activity. (Plan for student volunteers to help all day during the Field Day). YOUR GROUP MUST BE READY BEFORE THE STUDENTS ARE RELEASED FOR FIELD DAY.

Homecoming Color Wars Guidelines CONTINUED:  Your organization will need to set-up. A map will be provided to you with your tent’s exact location.  If your sponsor is unable to supervise your table, you must secure a parent volunteer or another adult to do so. Please Ms. Arango, for assistance.  Your organization will NOT be handling money. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your tickets.  Return tickets to the treasurer in your ticket collection bag at the end of field day, along with the attached ticket recap sheet.  Remember, SGA receives 10% of your sales in order to cover the cost of Field Day Events.  You must create a display that indicates the amount of tickets for each item or activity you are selling (example: pizza slice = 2 tickets).

 This year SGA will continue our 6th Annual Homecoming Parade!  This year’s theme is: “Pepper Goes to Broadway!”  With the abundant amount of clubs and honor societies, we invite all of you to participate in our 6th Annual Parade!

 Only 20 parade participants per float. You sponsor will receive wristbands on Parade Day!  The theme of your float should pertain to a Broadway Show and it should be well reflected throughout your float. We encourage you to be creative!  Your float will be judged with a rubric.  Each club/honor society will have an allotted time to do a performance whether it be a QUICK skit or dance (or anything that pertains to the theme of your float) –  NO MORE THAN 2 MINUTES (QUICK PERFORMANCES!).  We suggest that you stay away from poems or lengthy speeches…JUST DO THE CHORUS OF THE SONG!  The parade route will follow the car pool lane.

 Please be aware that ALL MATERIALS MUST BE PURCHASED THROUGH CLUB FUNDS WITH A MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF $500. SGA WILL NOT PROVIDE PAINT, PAPER, GLITTER, ETC.
