Change the world

One thing To change the world

Maybe Make bananas red not yellow Make it rain just at night Make it rain for just 3 months of the year Stop using petrol in cars Stop people growing old Make icecream free Stop people getting ill

What would you do? ? ? ? ? ? ?

How would that work? Make all bananas red

Why? It would make people happy

How? Paint all the bananas in the world Genetically modify bananas so they have red skins not yellow Grow banana trees in special soil that makes the bananas red

Would that be good? Could be expensive Genetically modifying bananas is tricky and could lead to problems Adding stuff to the soil to make bananas red might make other plants red

Your ideas....?

Homework Form a group of 3 or 4 students and decide on YOUR idea to change the world. Next week you will make a presentation so decide what each person is going to say. Try to find some pictures, models, stuff you can show people. Please come prepared next week

Next week Present your idea in a group of 3 or 4 students. The group leader introduces everyone and explains what the idea is and why it should happen. Next person in the group tells us how it could work. Persons 3 and 4 explain what the problems might be.

Extras Bring in pictures, models, posters, etc. to help the audience understand what you are telling them.

Afterwards The rest of the students can ask questions after each presentation At the end of all the presentations the students can vote for the best idea. Hazel will give some feedback on how well you presented the information and answered questions.
