1 Evaluation 1.What did you enjoy about this unit? 2.What new things did you learn? 3.How useful is it for you? 1.eg to understand how people have different ideas about what is “right”? 2.To help you in making the right decisions better? 4.What do you think would have made this unit better? What topics did you study in this unit?

2 Situations… In pairs, think of 3 situations where someone has to make a really hard moral decision. Write them down.

3 Your Decision! To prepare a presentation to show which kind of moral decision making is the most useful. 1.Choose a story of someone having to make a difficult moral decision 2.Each pair to consider how one method of moral decision making would say about this problem: use questions sheet to help you 3.Present a poster to 1.State your method 2.Explain the problem 3.explain what your method says you should do 4.Explain if you agree with this or not & why

4 Role Play Virtue Justice Temperance Fortitude Wisdom 1.Role play the story 2.Ask the class to guess the virtue 3.(as many points as correct answers) 4.Give the answer: one of your group to explain what the virtue is and why 5.Class Vote for how well you presented this virtue – if it was clear. (points for numbers of thumbs up)

5 Moral Choices Poster for Display Choose one of the moral theories – Consequentialism – Divine command theory – Natural law – Conscience – virtue Produce a poster to show: – A definition of that theory – An example of that theory (describe a situation where someone is using it) – Explain why that is your favourite way of deciding right and wrong – Mention any problems with that method, why it might not give you the best answer.

6 Moral Problems Read the stories Decide in your group how you would answer the questions in bold 1.Decide what is the best thing to do and why 2.Consider which of the moral methods would agree with you. (virtues, consequentialism, natural law, Kant)
