Presentation transcript:

What is the science fundamental to and required by college programs in these fields? Physics!

According to the College Board, completion of which course is greatly related to high SAT Math scores? Physics! What do colleges expect to see on transcripts? Physics! (with a hands-on lab component)

Most majors in college require a physics course. Most students struggle. Physics has one of the highest drop rates. What factor is most likely to ensure success? High school honors physics

This course builds upon the foundation of honors physics. The College Board states it is not a first year course. Even for students above average in math (PSAT 61-65) there is only a 66% of achieving a passing score on the exam! What factor is most likely to ensure success? High school honors physics

Pine View School lists Physics Honors as prerequisite to AP Physics courses.

What major has the highest admission rate to medical school? Physics majors! (not pre-med or biology) What is 15-25% of the MCAT Exam? Believe it or not --- Physics! American Association of Teachers (AAPT), 2012 Association of Medical Colleges, 2012.
