Types of activities Assist a teacher organizing school events. Assist in the school library Take part in a recycling project. Read stories to young children at an orphanage. Participate in community clean-up projects. Tutoring or sport coaching for young students in local schools. Volunteer to help a public service organization (Red Cross, World Vision, etc.). Volunteer at your old elementary school to help with activities they have (e.g. Book Week, Performances etc.).
