IB – international baccalaureate, MYP – Middle years programme
IB also has the PYP and DP

Differences between DP and MYP
DP is
an academically demanding two-year curriculum that meets only the needs of highly motivated students
MYP is
an inclusive programme for all students
encourages students to connect their studies in the traditional subjects to the real world
Helps students become critical and reflective thinkers
MYP – all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students are in the MYP. Within the program, students may take regular or advanced options. For students meeting the proper pre-requisites, high school credit may also be earned in Algebra, Geometry, Science, and Spanish.
MYP students develop a set of skills and attributes setting them apart from their peers, and equipping them for a successful future in high school and college.

The IB MYP focuses on the whole child, preparing each for life in the 21st century
