7. The MYP:
is a challenging framework that encourages students to make practical connections between their studies and the real world. Students learn best when their learning experiences have context and are connected to their lives and their experience of the world that they have experienced. Using global contexts, MYP students develop an understanding of their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet.

MYP grew out of the work and vision of practicing teachers in school across the globe.

In a world of increasing interconnection and complexity, learning in context provides students with opportunities to explore multiple dimensions of meaningful challenges facing young people in the world today, encouraging them to develop creative solution and understanding. The MYP encourage teachers to design units around a range of ideas and issues that are personally, locally, nationally, international, and globally significant.

The aim of all IB programmes is to develop internationally minded people, who recognize their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world. The IB Learner Profiles represents 10 attributes valued by the IB World Schools. They believe these attributes and others like them, can help individuals and groups become more responsible members of local, national and global communities.
