1. I should never have any behavior problems. 2. Students should listen quietly to the whole minute lesson. 3. If I constantly have behavior problems in my class, I need to reconsider how I am presenting my lessons.

 Know Your Students  Keep Behavior Management Consistent  Stand near each student at least once each lesson  E.A.T.S.  E: Essential Question  A: Activating Strategy (Hook)  T: Teaching  S: Summary  Change “gears” every 12 minutes  Keep the students engaged!

 Make the objective into a question.  Make it in 1 st person.  Prepare these ahead of time so you can just post them when you enter the room.  Refer to the question periodically during the lesson to assess progress.
