Advising Technology Tools, Systems, and Information New Advisor Training Series September 1, 2015 Jeffrey E. Shokler, Assistant Director Office of Undergraduate Advising

Advising Technology Tools, Systems, and Information The questions I hope to address for you today: What’s an “advising tool” or “advising system?” Which tools are likely to be important for your work? How can you get authorization and training for these tools? How can you get at the data/information you need to do your work? How can you obtain assessment or aggregate student data to help you in your work (and what do I mean by “assessment” and “aggregate student data” anyway…)?
