Actress Hallie Elizabeth Watson

An actress expresses characters in theater, movies, television, and other forms of performing arts. They explain a writer’s script and inform or entertain an audience.

Education/Training You train through experience You need a some college education but no degree It would be best to participate in all the auditions you can possibly participate in.

Salary In 2010 a median actress got paid about $17.40 an hour. Which equals out to about $36, in a year.

Attributes & Abilities Creativity- they must be able to portray things in a believable way Memorization- They have to be able to memorize lines in short periods of time. Persistence- They must be able to accept rejection and keep trying to place another role. Physical Stamina- An actress must be able to endure small amounts of sleep, support heavy costumes, and hot stage lights. Reading and Speaking Skills- An actress must be able to say their lines loud, clear, and confident even if they are incorrect.

Job Outlook The job has a growth expectancy of 4% from 2010 to 2020.

Duties of an Actress The duties of an actress consist of: Reading scripts and meeting with directors and producers before accepting a role. Audition for producers and directors. Match with the personality of the character you’re tying to play. Memorize all your lines in short periods of time

Duties Continued Be able to rehearse lines with others. Be able to discuss your role with others and be able to comprehend the meanings and ambitions of that character. You must be able to perform your role while following the instructions of the director.

How does an actress use math? They use it to find interest rates, or to find how much money they are making.
