Voilence Against Women Domestic violence mostly is against women through the continent. Reasons; stress, culture, alcoholism, and economics

Creepy Cultural Inspirations For Violence There is a common saying among men in Bulgaria that a woman is “better dead than alive with another man” (Domestic Violence in Bulgaria, 1996). “The assumption is that once a woman enters into a contract of marriage, the husband has the right to unlimited sexual access to his wife. Surveys in many countries reveal that approximately 10 to 15 percent of women report being forced to have sex with their intimate partner “ (Domestic Violence Against Women and Girls, 2000, pp.5)

Why say no to violence? The Universal Declaration of Human Rights includes several provisions relating to an individuals right to be free from violence and abuse. Article 3 provides that "everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person." Article 5 provides that "no one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment."

The Reasons Of Domestic Violence Against Women (Heise, 1994)
