How to make a BIG sponge cake! By Gina kinsman.

Ingredients! You will need: ½ cup of milk 2 teaspoons & table spoons of unsalted butter 8 large eggs 1 cup of sugar 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon of baking powder 1/8 teaspoon of salt 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract Butter Cream strawberries This man was hungry for cake! He used this recipe.

Equipment! You will need: Small saucepan Electric mixer Large bowl Small bowl Sifter Baking pan Wire rack

How to make a sponge cake! Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Warm the milk and the 2 teaspoons of butter in the saucepan at medium-low heat steaming. In the large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar. Then, Beat in the warm milk mixture on low speed. Add half of the flour mixture to the egg mixture and beat until smooth. Add the rest of the flour mixture and beat until smooth. Grease the pan with the remaining butter. Pour the mixture into the pan. Spread the mixture evenly. Bake it for about 15 minutes. The cake is done when it Springs back when touched. Let the cake cool in the pan for a few minutes. Flip the cake out of the pan and onto a cooling rack and let it cool completely. Do this twice so you have a base of a cake and the top as well.

filling Fill the cake with cream, spread it evenly. Cut strawberries into pieces and place them all over the cream.

Finishing off! Sprinkle icing sugar over the top of the cake. Once you have completed all these steps, you will now be able to eat your cake. Enjoy!
