Presentation transcript:

March 2013 Updates: Creative experiments Alma tried out some new art techniques, explored writing and became very interested in stickers workbooks.

Alma was very busy trying to write, erase and colour in the fruit workbook

Alma enjoyed cutting, tearing, drawing faces and asking me the names of letters on every sign that was her height.

Alma made a letter for her friend Shira (“Shiwa” as she calls her) And for her grandparents in Tel-Aviv (below).

She collected all the number 4s she could find for a picture she sent to grandpa Ido. She enjoyed a package from the Grandparents Simon, including creative drawings from my mum. This letter was only for her, as Hahgoot wasn’t cooperating with letter writing. When Hahgoot saw Alma was the only one getting letters from the grandparents, she suddenly did want to write to them...I Wonder why...

Drawing with paint using nets (from fruit)

Alma loves the experimental, hands-on painting experiences

After using nets, brushes and sponges, Alma walked around the yard and collected dried flowers, sticks and leafs to make more art. I liked the result so much that I laminated the works and put them as a background to their work corner (where they sit at the blue table).

Science studies: Alma got three bowls. The middle one had ice cubes. One had warm water, the other cold water. Alma transferred the ice cubes from one container to the other and discovered some interesting scientific facts.

When she ran out of ice, the science class turned into a game of caring for rubber duckies. Good fun!

Wishing you lots of lovely sunny days! Many kisses from the Atzmon-Simon family
