MAY 15 AND 16, 2013 I can make 80% or higher on the practice EOC in order to demonstrate my knowledge.

EOC Practice  Read the questions carefully.  Then read the answer stems.  Then read the passage.  Answer the questions on your own sheet of paper first; when you are finished, then put your answers in your clickers.

Review Answers  Review correct answers.  Circle the questions missed on your answer sheet and provide a reflection of why you think you missed the question.  Be specific.

When you finish…  Begin brainstorming for your final…  Your FINAL will be May 29 and 30. You will have to prepare a “how to” lesson for your class.  Brainstorm topics. Your topic must be age and school appropriate and demonstrate a life skill.  Examples: how to…change a tire, change oil, dress for success, prepare a meal, etc.  Once you have decided on your topic, please check for approval.  Once you have your topic approved, begin planning your lesson.

Finish your T-shirt/Ad  Choose a color that represents how you think you performed on the PASSAGE based writing.  Design a symbol (logo) that represents how you think you performed on the STAND ALONE writing.  Create a saying (quote, or catch phrase) that represents how you performed overall.  Decide the cost of the shirt depending on the amount of effort and work you put into your writing.

Finish T-shirt/Ad  Your group will serve as a T-shirt company.  You will create a campaign.  How would you market each of your shirts?  What would your TV/radio commercial look/sound like? (Be sure to include at least one of the persuasive techniques we have discussed: ethos, pathos, and logos).  Create an ad for your shirts.  Your group will perform your ads and then the class will vote on the most persuasive and creative ad.
