Movie Soundtrack - How much about movie soundtrack do you know?

Do you know their soundtracks?

If you are interested in movie soundtracks, keep moving forward to discover more about it. At the end of this Webquest, you will be able to learn more about movie soundtracks as well as to improve your listening skills. I am sure you will love it!

1 st Step: Divide the students in four groups of five members. 2 nd Step: Raffle the following movies between the groups: Pretty Woman; Dirty Dancing; Titanic; The Bodyguard.

3 rd Step: Create a Poster about your movie, including the following information: Technical sheet; Summary; Curiosities; Soundtrack; Images; Movie Review P.S. Feel free to include more information you want to!

4 th Step: Prepare the Poster and give it to your teacher in two weeks for pre-evaluation. The teacher will arrange a date for the presentations. 5 th Step: Present your project to your classmates. # You need to bring the lyric and the audio of the soundtrack to share with your classmates. Time: 20 minutes.

By the end, your project will be evaluated according to the following items: Clarity; Originality; Language; Design; Function. The projects will be evaluated by your group, the other groups and by the teacher. After the presentations, the teacher will make comments and propose a discussion about the projects with the students.

The idea of this project was to test your knowledge about movies in a practical way. Do you think we have gotten it? What do you think about make a research about more famous movie soundtracks? Each group choose one more movie and bring the soundtrack to your classmates so we can make some activities in classroom.

This project was designed for English teachers to help students of intermediate level to improve their listening skills by using movie soundtracks. It was developed by Ewerton Carvalho, Larissa Leandro, Letícia Nunes, Miriam Nogueira and Vanessa Santos. Oriented by Janaína Cardoso/ UERJ, in July 2013.
