Are pupils and staff given opportunities and time to calm down when they get angry or frustrated? Are pupils supported to practise how they might calm down and manage their feelings? Are pupils and staff given the opportunity to talk about the way they are feeling? Managing feelings

Can everyone succeed? Are expectations of everyone clear and positive? Are people encouraged to `bounce back`and try again after difficulties? Motivation

Are there places to go to calm down? Are there reminders about stopping and thinking before acting, handling anger etc. around the school? Managing feelings

Is it a stimulating and exciting space to be in? Does it encourage participation, a sense of ownership and shared responsibility (e.g. tidiness, layout, displays) from the whole school community including parents and carers?
