DEFINITION  The unlawful use of – or threatened use of – force of violence against individuals or property to coerce or intimidate governments or societies, often to achieve political, religious, or ideological objectives. -US Department of Defense

PART TWO  Next, you will read the article on the different eras of modern terrorism  You will need to create a graphic organizer for each era, “The Dawn of Modern International Terrorism”, “The Afghan Jihad and State Sponsors of Terrorism”, and “The Globalization of Terror”.  In that graphic organizer, you will need to define/explain each era of terrorism, as well as give two examples of terrorist organizations that fall into that particular category/era.  For each terrorist organization, you will have to list their objective as well as one example of an attack
