Hypnotism Bree Lewis

How it Works Doctors use it to get into the brain and wash out unhealthy memories.

Franz Anton Mesmer He was the first to really work on hypnotism and tell people about it. His procedures did not convince the medical community and they ruled hypnotism unreliable.

Milton H. Ericson Milton had been researching hypnotism for 60 years before he told people about it. With his research and procedures he convinced the medical community that hypnotism is a reliable medical treatment.

What it’s Used for. Most of the time hypnotism is used to get over mental or physical problems but some times is used for addiction. A lot of people use it to stop smoking or doing drugs.

Superstitions When you are hypnotized you are not sleeping or unconscious, your mind is just open to suggestions. You can’t really get hypnotized by a swirl (like the background). This just makes you see the swirls when you look away because your eyes have gotten used to it.
