Blue-footed Booby Report By Noah

Introduction It’s a bird, it’s a plane, nope it’s a Blue-footed Booby! Hello down there I am a Blue-footed Booby and I’m going to teach you all about me. Let hop or should I say. Lets use my blue feet to walk to it.

First Main Idea Grrrrr! My stomach is rumbling lets chow down some sweet, tasty, juicy FISH!!! I spend most of my time gliding purposefully over water with my bill angled downward, watching the surface for signs of fish by diving below the water from a swimming position on the surface.opps I forgot to tell you what I eat I guess ill tell you I eat fish like flying fish, sardines, anchovies, and mackerel. And sometimes I feed on squid.

Second Main Idea AHHH!!! My brain hurts, oh I’m sorry I just have so many adaptations to tell you about my brain hurts. I’m a male so I weigh less so I can move more maneuverable witch means I can move around more easily so I can dive into extremely shallow water in order to catch relatively small fish. My wife the much heavier female catches larger fish further offshore in deeper waters. Between me and my wife we can eat a wide variety of prey.

Third Main Idea Physical characteristics are very important so let’s get to it. I have brown and white plumage that greatly contrasts with my bright blue feet and greenish gray bill. My head is pale brown and streaked with whitish feathers. My wingspan is 62 inches almost two yard sticks. My weight is 1.5 kilograms and I live about up to 17 years.

Fourth Main Idea Habitat sweet habitat I love my habitat and so will you ! I live in the Galapagos islands, located about 600 miles off the coast of mainland Ecuador. I’m found in western Mexico to north west south America too.

Conclusion Just one more thing they call me the blue-footed booby because, I’m a booby and I have blue feet.
