Riddle By: Mary Brown The animal I’m thinking of has four paws. They are like the kings and queens of the north. They are the largest carnivores. Compared to other animals this animal has larger bodies and longer bodies and long narrow necks and longer snouts than other animals. Who am I?

BODY The polar bear or sea/ice bears are the world’s largest land predators. Male polar bears may grow 10 feet tall and weigh over 1,400 pounds. Females reach 7 feet and weigh up to 650 pounds. In the wild, polar bears live up to the age of 25. Polar bears have wide front paws and slight webbed toes that help them swim.

HABITAT Polar bears are some times found swimming in the frigid oceans, waters, or on a patch ice sitting up or lying down. The polar bears main habitat is off shore packed ice, and along coasts and islands of the arctic region. Over 40 per cent of all polar bears living today are living in northern Canada
