ROLES OF THE PRESIDENT The President wears six hats (according to Pres. Truman)

1. Chief of State Symbolic head of nation Ceremonial representative Mr.USA Examples: a. honors national heroes b. represents us at national events He expect him to be better than us.

2. Chief Executive/Administrator Makes sure the nation runs smoothly on a day to day basis. (has cabinet and entire federal bureaucracy to help). Examples: Taking emergency actions (Katrina) Fixing the Banking emergency Appointing heads of Departments

3.
