Point of View The narrator is omniscient, (when narrator knows everything). Its third person.

Main Characters Hester-jail for adultery. makes cloths for the period Pearl-starts to act like a fairy. Voguer-gets captured by pirates. Author D-commits born adultery with Hester

Conflicts Dim vs himself-Dim was dealing with his guilt. Hester vs Society-everyone judges her than as the story proceeds everyone excepts her.

Foreshadowing An example of foreshadowing in the story is when Chillingworth is talking to Hester in the dungeon. He keeps saying "He will be known! He will be known! He will be known!"

Symbols A-adulterer,able,angle, Rosebush-hope in a terrible place leech(sucking the life out of dim)shape of an A stood for angle

Plot Summary In the 1600s in Boston, women named Hester committed adultery and had a child. Towns people were outraged and made her wear the scarlet letter A, on her clothes. Husband who was goanna follow her after, had settled some affairs, sent her to Boston. But at least two years passed still didn’t show up. while Hester receiving some punishment, she notices her husband.
