AGENDA BOOK Lives in binder!! Filled out daily by students Signatures from parents will be requested as needed Check for notes from me regarding behavior at the bottom of each day.

Homework Should take about minutes Reading and Math Logs are part of homework and should be the responsibility of the student. Parents only sign at the end of each week (on Sundays). Allow your child to work independently—homework is a review from the day’s lessons and should not need to be retaught. Ask guiding questions instead of providing answers. If homework seems to be taking too long, go with your gut! Let me know by sending a quick or note that the homework assignment was too difficult, too long, etc.

Ms. Mendon’s Mercantile Look for a blue “paycheck” to come home every Friday. This paycheck lets you know how your child has done in the following categories:  Behavior  Homework  Classwork  Organization

Happy Birthday! You are welcome to send in birthday treats for your child on the day of their birthday. Summer birthdays will be celebrated at the end of the school year or on half birthdays—whichever you prefer.

Have you visited my website? mentary/MicheleMendon mentary/MicheleMendon On my website you will find links to other websites, as well as the most recent newsletter, homework, downloadable documents, etc.

A few other things….. Parent Portal – We are no longer printing midterm reports. You’ll need to register on the parent portal to access your child’s grades. Students can access all of their textbooks online by going to my.sarasotacountyschools.net and signing on with their N number and pin number.
