Presentation to the “Board of Education” Assuming different Roles: Board members, administrators, teachers, business, and parents

Points to Include What is the problem? Why is this an important topic? Background of the topic. Describe what you are proposing; how it might be the answer to this problem. What research supports your recommendations? What are the procedures? Costs? Who is involved? Present to varying points of view (stakeholders)

Board of Education View How much will this cost? Who is involved, for how long? Does this comply with state law, CTC, Standards? Is it fair? Safe? Equitable? Is it politically correct? Who are the key players? (In charge?) Time Line? Assessment?

Administrators How will this impact the specific site(s)? Positively and negatively? How will teachers be both motivated and rewarded for their participation? How will this impact children more than what we already have? What type of collaboration is required? How does this fit with long range plans? School and District?

Teachers How much time will this take? How will this coordinate with what I am required to teach already? (Does something have to go?) How much training is necessary and will it be provided? Will there be necessary support such as release time? What follow through will there be? How user friendly is this program?

Parents Will my children learn more? How will the needs of individual children be met? Is it accessible to all children? Will this be contained within the school day or will I have to supervise more homework? Is there any cost involved for families? How will you know if this program is any good?

Business Community How will the community be affected? What help or assistance is needed from the community? How will you address sustainabity? How will this help students become a part of the world of work? How will our business benefit from this project?

Conclusion  The parents support it  Children will achieve!  Do it now, because I said  The children love it
