2 Training Objectives Searching, accessing and viewing Prioritized Companies for Assignment, Companies with FMCSA Letters, and Companies with Investigations using the ‘Reports/Queries’ menu The ‘Reports/Queries’ functionality includes:  Searching for a list of Prioritized Companies for Assignment, providing additional functionality to:  Save one or more customized queries  Customize the company results grid view  Download query results into an Excel Spreadsheet  Print the query results  Access Company Information and Company Activity details

4 Introduction to Query Prioritized Companies The query for ‘Prioritized Companies’ functionality allows Enforcement users to search for Companies who require an assignment based on FMCSA rule makings and policy The Prioritized Companies functionality allows Enforcement users to search for Companies by:  Prioritization Lists  Assignment Type  Selecting a pre-defined Prioritization List with or without optional filters  Company  Assignment Type  Simple or Advance Search functionality

5 Introduction to Query Prioritized Companies (Cont’d) The ‘Prioritized Companies’ functionality includes:  Saving one or more customized queries  Customizing the company results grid view  Accessing Company Information and Company Activity details  Printing query results  Downloading query results into an Excel Spreadsheet

6 Accessing Query Prioritized Companies Enforcement users may access the ‘Prioritized Companies’ functionality under the ‘Reports/Queries’ menu on the Home Page To access the ‘Prioritized Companies’ functionality  Select “Reports/Queries”  Select “Prioritized Companies”

7 Performance, Characteristic and Action based specific searches resulting in a list of companies can be conducted using the Search by Prioritization List functionality Enforcement users have the capability to search for companies by selecting multiple Assignment Types and Prioritization Lists To search by Prioritization List  Select tab “Search for Companies”  Select the option button “Search by Prioritization List” Query Prioritized Companies – Search by Prioritization List

8 Query Prioritized Companies – Search by Company Enforcement users have the option to search for one or more companies that require Corrective Action Plan Review, Intervention or Safety Audit Assignments Enforcement users who would like to search for one particular company can bypass the Prioritization List search options and simply search for a company by its USDOT# or Company Legal Name To search by Company  Select tab “Search for Companies”  Select the option button “Search by Company”

9 Enforcement users may utilize the Optional Filter Criteria fields at the bottom of the page to apply additional search criteria to further constrain the search results The available search fields at the bottom of the page will change according to the type of Assignment and Prioritization List selected Search by Prioritization List – Optional Filter Criteria

10 Optional Filter Criteria - Location The Location tab allows Enforcement users to constrain their search results to companies within a specific geographical location To enter Filter Criteria for a Location  Select the tab “Location”  Select the desired criteria

11 Optional Filter Criteria - BASICs The BASICs tab allows Enforcement users to constrain their search results to companies by their Safety Performance and Ratable Reviews To enter Filter Criteria for ‘BASICs’  Select the tab “BASICs”  Select/enter the desired criteria

12 Optional Filter Criteria - Company Operations The Company Operations tab allows Enforcement users to constrain their search results by company operation specifics To enter Filter Criteria for Company Operations  Select the tab “Company Operations”  Select the desired criteria

13 Optional Filter Criteria - Assignment The Assignment tab allows Enforcement users to constrain their search results based on existing assignments To enter Filter Criteria for an Assignment  Select the tab “Assignment”  Select the desired criteria

14 Optional Filter Criteria - Cargo Tank The Cargo Tank tab allows Enforcement users to constrain their search results by a company’s registered cargo tank facility information To enter Filter Criteria for a Cargo Tank  Select the tab “Cargo Tank”  Select the desired criteria

15 Optional Filter Criteria – Corrective Action Plan The Corrective Action Plan tab allows Enforcement users to constrain their search results by the date a Corrective Action Plan was received or an Extension Request granted To enter Filter Criteria for a Corrective Action Plan Review  Select the tab “Corrective Action Plan”  Select the desired date

16 Customize Search Queries As Enforcement users select Prioritization Lists and Optional Filter Criteria, the selections are listed in the Criteria Summary view Enforcement Users have the option to create and save one or more reusable customized queries to search for companies requiring an assignment Enforcement Users can also set a customized query as their default

17 Customize Search Queries (Cont’d) To display saved queries  Click the button “List” To save a customized query  Click the button “Save”  Enter a name for the customized query To make the customized query the default query to search for a list of companies requiring an assignment  Check the box “Default”  The system will automatically retrieve the default criteria when navigating to the make assignment functionality and will bypass the step to search for companies

18 Query Prioritized Companies - Search Results On the Prioritized Companies tab, the companies matching the search criteria entered are displayed

19 Customize the Search Results Enforcement users have the option of customizing the view of the company results grid The customized view can be saved as the Enforcement user's default view for future Portal sessions Click Column Title to Sort Click and drag dotted rectangle to resize column

20 Customize the Search Results (Cont’d) Enforcement users can show or hide the columns they would like to appear in the companies results grid The default and optional columns that are available for selection, varies by Assignment Type (Intervention, Safety Audit, Corrective Action Plan Review)

21 Query Prioritized Companies - Viewing Company Information Enforcement users can view information about a Company’s USDOT Registration, Cargo Tank Facility, Hazardous Materials, Operating Authority, BASICs Safety Measurement, and Inspection Selection Systems (ISS) Information  Click “Company Information” icon

22 Query Prioritized Companies - Viewing Company Activity Enforcement users can view information about a Company’s Crash, Inspection, IEP Inspection and Intervention activity  Click “Company Activity” icon

23 Download the Search Results Enforcement users have the option of downloading the list of companies to an Excel spreadsheet  To download the list with only those columns currently selected for viewing in the Company results grid  Click “Selected Columns” under the Download menu  To download the list with all columns (even those optional columns not currently selected for viewing in the Company results grid)  Click “All Columns” under the Download menu

24 Print Company Search Results Enforcement users have the option of printing the list of matching companies  To print the current list of assignments displayed (up to 100 records) with only those columns currently selected for viewing in the Company results grid  Click “Selected Columns” under the Print menu  To print the current list of assignments displayed (up to 100 records) with all columns (even those optional columns not currently selected for viewing in the Company results grid)  Click “All Columns” under the Print menu

25 Introduction to Query Letters The ‘Query Letters’ functionality allows Enforcement users to search for Companies who have received letters from FMCSA using multiple search criteria options The ‘Query Letters’ functionality additionally includes:  Printing query results  Downloading query results into an Excel Spreadsheet

26 Accessing Query Letters Enforcement users may access the ‘Query Letters’ functionality under the ‘Reports/Queries’ menu on the Home Page To access the ‘Query Letters’ functionality:  Select “Reports/Queries”  Select “Query Letters”

27 Query Letters – Search Criteria Enforcement users have the ability of querying a list of Companies that have received a Letter by entering search criteria and clicking “Search”  The Letter Date Range is a required search parameter To search for Companies who have received a FMCSA Letter  Select the search criteria  Select “Search”

29 Print and Download Query Letters – Search Results Enforcement users have the option of printing the query results or downloading the query results into an Excel spreadsheet To Print query results  Click the button “Print List” To Download the query results into an Excel Spreadsheet  Click the button “Download List”

30 Introduction to Query Investigations The query for ‘Investigations’ functionality allows Enforcement users to search for Companies who have Completed an Investigation with FMCSA using multiple search criteria options The ‘Investigations’ functionality includes:  Accessing Company Information and Company Activity details  Accessing Documents that contain additional details about the Investigation  Ability to show and hide columns that contain detailed information about the Investigation  Printing query results  Downloading query results into an Excel Spreadsheet

31 Accessing Query Investigations Enforcement users may access the ‘Investigations’ functionality under the ‘Reports/Queries’ menu on the Home Page To access the ‘Investigations’ query functionality  Select “Reports/Queries”  Select “Investigations”

32 Query Investigations – Search Criteria Enforcement users have the ability of querying a list of Companies that have completed an Investigation with FMCSA by entering search criteria and clicking “Search” To search for Companies who have completed an Investigation with FMCSA  Select the search criteria  Select “Search”

33 Query Investigations – Show Detailed Columns Enforcement users can select to display more detailed information about a Company in the Company results grid To view more detailed Company information in the Company results grid:  Select “Show Detailed Columns”
