The story starts in district 12 to the forest. They move and move aging until they end up in the capitol “state”. The story takes place in the future. “The game teams” What Panem looks like. 2

The girl on fire Bow an arrow Katniss 3

 Peeta is kind but strong. Peeta risked getting a beating so he could give Katniss one loaf of bread. That he dropped in the fire. Now Katniss likes Peeta because he gave her food to eat 4

 Prim is the young sister that Katniss risks her life to save her life. And she had a creepy looking cat named Buttercup. Prim is name d after a flower called a Primrose. 5

rue is Katniss's helper in the hunger games at the end of hunger games. Rue is from district 11. she is only 12 or 13 years old and she was chosen to be put in the hunger games and she is the same age as her little sister primrose. 6

The plot line is man vs. man And man vs. society Man vs. self 7

The mood in the hunger games is mostly eerie and sad. “I bathe the blood and ash from my face. I try to recall all I know about burns. They are common injuries in the seam where we cook and heat our homes with coal. Then there are the mine accidents... A family once brought in an unconscious young man pleading with my mother to help him. The districts doctor, who’s responsible for treating the miners had written him off, told the family to take him home to die. But they wouldn’t accept this. He lay on our kitchen table, senseless to the world. I got a glimpse o the wound on his thigh, gaping, and charred flesh, burned clear down to the bone, before I ran from the house. I went to the woods and hunted the entire day, hunted by the gruesome leg memories of my father’s death. What’s funny was Prim, who’s scared of her own shadow, stayed and helped. My mother says healers are born not made. They did their best, but the man died, just like the doctor said he would.”COLLINS, SUZANNE. "Chapter 15." Hunger Games. Scholastic, Print. 8

After Rue's death in the Hunger Games, the mood is empowering. This is because Katniss talks about how the Capitol cannot own her or anyone else. "Rue was more than a piece in their Games. And so am I." (Collins, 236) Katniss realizes how evil the government is for putting in the Games to be fight to the death. She understands what a horrible way this is for the Capitol to assert their power. When she realizes this, and feels the injustice, it is moving and empowering. We know she will fight back. From Sam Y., Gabe Z., Ben L. 9

"There's a clap of thunder and I see lighting electrify the sky through and opening in the rocks. Rain drips through several holes in the ceiling“ COLLINS, SUZANNE. Chapter 22." Hunger Games. Scholastic, Print. From BRANDON CHRIS PIERCE CALEB 10
