Sundays At Tiffany’s By: James Patterson Book Report By: Kaylee Johnson

A - Actor Hugh McGrath is an actor, which is why Jane never believes him when he apologizes.

B - Blythe One of Michael’s friends (who is also imaginary)

C - Cut Michael accidentally cut his face while shaving. This is one of the first major signs that he is becoming a human.

D - Death Vivienne’s death changes Jane’s view of her mom.

E - Envy Michael is envious of Hugh at first since he is dating Jane. Michael later finds out that Jane wants to break up with Hugh, and his envy is gone.

F - Fudge Jane’s favorite part of the ice cream she likes is the hot fudge. This is mentioned several times in the beginning of the book.

G - Games When Jane was little, her and Michael made up games to play while Vivienne had dinner with people from work or dates.

H - Hugh Hugh McGrath is Jane’s boyfriend (Ex-boyfriend later in the story). He is a famous actor and gets recognized a lot in public. Jane doesn’t like Hugh because he is constantly fighting with her and is using her to get the lead role in a movie she is directing.

I - Imaginary Michael used to be Jane’s imaginary friend until she was nine years old.

J - Jane Jane Margaux is the daughter of the famous Vivienne Margaux. Jane is a lonely person and misses Michael’s friendship. She remembers Michael even though she shouldn’t be able to. (Kids are not supposed to remember their imaginary friends after they leave.) She meets Michael as a grown up and they fall in love.

K - Knew Michael knew something big was going to happen in Jane’s life. This bothers him throughout the story.

L - Love After Michael and Jane meet after years of not seeing each other, they fall in love.

M - Michael Jane’s imaginary friend until she is nine years old. He begins to turn into a human and basically has a sixth sense that something is going to happen. (What he was sensing was Vivienne’s death.) He was brought back to New York for a reason; to help Jane. He eventually meets Jane after she is an adult, and falls in love with her.

N -Nine When Jane is nine, Michael leaves her because she is strong enough to handle things on her own.

O - Owen Owen is Michael’s obnoxious neighbor. He views women as objects and doesn’t treat people with respect.

P - Person Michael begins to transform into a person. He starts to feel pain and when he snaps his fingers, money (or anything else he wants) doesn’t appear as it usually does.

Q - Quiet When Jane was little, she talked to Michael quietly because he was invisible and people would think she was crazy.

R - Rest Jane had to rest a lot after getting food poisoning.

S - Sunday Jane went for ice cream and went to Tiffany’s on Sundays with her mom. (And Michael)

T – Tiffany’s Every Sunday after Jane ate ice cream, Vivienne took Jane to Tiffany’s to look at the jewelry.

U - Understand Michael began to understand why he and Jane crossed paths after so many years.

V - Vivienne Vivienne Margaux is Jane’s bossy (and stuck up) mother. She is described as having many plastic surgeries. She is extremely wealthy. She doesn’t like it when Jane calls her “Mom”.

W - Wealthy Vivienne is extremely wealthy and owns her own company.

X - E(X)cited Michael was excited to see Jane after so many years. He didn’t think they would ever meet again.

Y - Yell Hugh was always yelling at people (especially Jane). He started fights whenever he didn’t get his way.

Z - Zero The last sign that Michael had became a human was when he snapped his fingers and no (or zero) money appeared. He was happy and disappointed at the same time.
