Tips and Lessons Learned
Go low-tech. Do not rely on technology or handouts. Put yourselves in the judge’s shoes. Connect with the judges and communicate your purpose, method, and outcomes verbally. Make eye contact. Keep the authenticity in your display.
Ask for Help Talk to a trusted adult. Ask for their input as needed throughout the process. If you need an advisor, let us know. Ask for other connections.
Lessons Learned Don’t get discouraged by setbacks in your project. Many of the most successful people in the world had many setbacks before their success. If you are a team, divide tasks based on strengths and weaknesses, but always remember you are working towards a common goal. “Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.” ― Thomas A. Edison
Resources Don’t be afraid to ask questions. The SULYC coordinators are here to guide you. No question is too small or too big. We will do our best to help.
