Buddhism Religion Buddhism is one of the major religions in the world. It has 385 million followers! Including dogs!

Buddha Buddha is the person who founded Buddhism. His real name is Siddhartha Gautama. He grew up in a rich family. Buddhists believe his bones are holy. Siddhartha Gautama was born in a small country called Nepal.

Birth Buddhists believe that Buddhism was created in India in 500 B.C. There are different types of Buddhism.

Symbols They have many symbols that they also worship. The most important one is the wheel. Here are most of them.

Followers The followers of Buddhism worship Buddha’s teachings. Some men are called monks, some women are nuns. This is what it might look like. Praying to Buddha

Beliefs and Teachings Buddhists beliefs and teachings are called Dharma. Buddhists believe in reincarnation, which is when you are reborn many times. They also believe in many legends and stories.

Nirvana Nirvana is perfect peace and happiness. Buddhists believe that if they give up money and possessions, they will gain Nirvana, or perfect peace and happiness.
