Summary 1. Change the definition of “Assembly”. In the current Bylaws the word Assembly refers to all full-time faculty. In the amended version the word Assembly refers to the elected Delegates of the faculty and the word faculty refers to the faculty (full-time unless stipulated as more than full-time). This represents a huge change which affected many sections of the Bylaws directly or indirectly. 2. Change procedure to amend the bylaws (Article IX) 3. In Preamble the phrase “diverse backgrounds” is to reflect diverse faculty (gender, ethnic, cultural, race). 4. Other changes are to improve clarity and grammar.
