9 Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) 709 beds in four inpatient facilities – Medical University Hospital – Ashley River Tower – Children’s Hospital – Institute of Psychiatry ~36,000 annual inpatient visits ~66,000 annual ER visits ~6,600 employees

10 MUSC Physicians (MUSCP) Full-time faculty of the College of Medicine who are physicians or doctoral level clinical professionals licensed to practice by a S.C. licensing body are members of MUSCP. Governed by a physician-led Board; current officers are Dr. Don Rockey (Chair, Medicine), Dr. Paul Lambert (Chair, Otolaryngology), Dr. Terry Steyer (Chair, Family Medicine), and Dr. Steve Carroll (Chair, Pathology). Dr. Bruce Elliott serves as Interim Chief Physician Executive. Off-campus services are provided at MUSC Health East Cooper, MUSC Health North Charleston, and MUSC Health West Ashley, among other locations. ~1.2 million annual outpatient visits. ~750 physicians
