Entities within Internal Service are often “misdiagnosed”

SymptomsRemedies Not enough informationAsk the faculty member or MBM I search entity as given -- nothing exact comes up!How close are the results? What is the difference between hospital and SOM? Look for keywords, think about who is driving and who is paying Committee I am looking for is not in the list Only standing committees are (and should be in the master list). Most often committee reference belongs in description box. How can I know the level? Think about the scope. Will the decisions made affect a division, an entire department, the whole University… Abbreviations can be cryptic Best three resources: google, faculty, MBM Too much informationAsk the faculty member or MBM

 What is the level of impact, who does the activity affect?  What keywords would you pick out to determine what group or level is the most appropriate?  Who RUNS the program? (If the school/college runs the program … it is at the college level)  What groups does your faculty work with the most, look at your faculty’s other activities  What do you already know about your faculty’s activities?  Does the program have a life of its own? (ex: They are their own group and could be looked up in the Universty directory)
