Geothermal By Mike Felt, Jason Aquino, Tanzania Nickens

How does it work? Energy is used from the heat in the earths crust to heat up water that’s in the ground 1.drill into the earth crust and pump out heated water 2.creates steam 3.The steam turns the turbines 4.That generates to electricity 5.Creates Geothermal Energy

Geothermal Advantages It reduces Reliance on Fossil fuel Geothermal energy is cheaper Geothermal power plants are unaffected by weather and night cycle/day Disadvantages It could possibly release many harmful gases Geothermal resources are huge and they will be for indefinite time Groundwater contamination can be a problem if the geothermal wells were not well sealed at great depths cement and steel tubes.
