Swimming Starting after Christmas Every Wednesday Bring children to Sports Centre 8:45a.m. Need to be in the pool at 9:00a.m. Qualified swimming teacher Walk back to school in time for break Fruit snack in swimming bag Only need swimming bag – book bags etc. can be put in classroom by siblings or friends when they go in or bring them to pool and carry back Note needed if not swimming – come into school?

Homework Monday Spellings Children will write them in their Homework books Tuesday Reading Wednesday Maths task Thursday Reading Friday Literacy or Topic based task Reading – children should have a reading record card in their book bag for parents to record when they have read at home. If they read 4x in the week they should hand their cards in to receive a reading certificate. There will also be a list of reading activities for children to do at home on reading homework days to aid their understanding of the texts.

How to help at home Leaflets on tables to give ideas for reading, writing and maths SAM learning – children all have own log in and password (same as last year). More activities and subjects on KS2.
