MAN RAY PowerPoint by Tito morales Surrealist and dada artist

Biography Man Ray was born as Emmanuel Radnitzky on August 27, He was a Jewish immigrant from Russia and, him and his family moved to Brooklyn where he was born. He moved to Paris, France in 1921 and spent most of his time photographing there. Man Ray was an abstract painter but later became more of a photographer. Education: After finishing high school in 1908, Man Ray studied drawing at the ferrer center in new york. His work was influenced by Alfred Stieglitzs and Duchamp. They both had an unusual artistic style and that’s what lead to his work.

Man ray’s transition from painter to photographer: Man Ray studied at Ferrer center in new york city. He studied drawing and visited Alfred Stieglitz’s Gallery.which clearly rubbed off on him and he started doing more photography and used his style much more, and that’s what started off his famous photo career. The rope dancer accompanies Herself with a shadow, 1916 By Man Ray

Man Rays quotes: “A creator needs only one enthusiast to justify him.”-Man Ray “Don’t put my name in it, these are simply documents I make.”-Man Ray “ To me, a painter, if not the most useful, is the least harmful member of our society -Man Ray It seems like Man Ray was a very quiet artist and he didn’t let his artistic fame go to his head like artist now a days.
