Best work: Miles Davis’ Kind of Blue, Groundskeeper, don’t walk and red
Impact on society: It showed the everyday life of what people were doing. He was the only one shooting natural light color photographs. He doesn’t use any image manipulation and his images and style has inspired many photographers.

I chose Jay Maisel because his work shows a lot of emotion. When he uses people as his subject, it makes you wonder what they are thinking about and what they are feeling. I like his technique and style because it’s very clear and there are vibrant details in his photographs. I love how he captures the moment of something. He captures what someone is doing and it’s not posed, it’s natural.
