You will receive through your children, a form and more information. The fair requires a large team of volunteers for this event. We need you, please contact: Ann McLaren… School supplies: The Home and School once again offers the opportunity to purchase school supplies for you. The forms will be available shortly on our website: We would like to gratefullywww.afe-epb.org thank Luc Desbaumes who was responsible for the purchase and preparation of the supplies for the past five years. He will be leaving us next year, Julie Mergl and Marie-Eve Aubin will be taking over. You can pick up your supplies on August 22, more information to follow. Teacher and daycare appreciation week: The Home and School wishes to thank the many parents who have contributed to the appreciation of the teachers and daycare this year. One day per month, meals and treats were offered to the teachers and school staff. We also celebrated our teachers and staff in the provincial teacher appreciation week in February, giving them treats throughout the week and a wonderful dinner on Friday. The dinner for the daycare took place in May. Thank you to all those who gave so generously, it was a great success again this year! Look at what we achieved! This year was once again successful for fundraising and events organized by the Home and School Association. Your participation in the various activities such as the lunch enrichment program, the hot meals and pizza days, the pumpkin sale, the winter fair, school supplies, etc.. has enabled us to contribute to the purchase of a beautiful EPB tent, many books, provide transportation for sport tournaments, pay for the math competitions and comic strips. In addition, we were able to work with the teachers to purchase learning materials to help the children. With your continued support, we are able to continue our efforts to improve the quality of life in our school and the education of our children. The EPB Winter Fair: a $1,500 profit The annual EPB winter fair was a great success! Thanks to the dedication of a wonderful group of volunteers, the event was enjoyed by young and old. The fair has raised $1,500 for the Home and School Association. Thank you to all those who gave generously their time, talent and resources! The EPB Blood Drive Ecole Primaire Beaconsfield recently hosted its annual Hema Quebec Blood Drive in honor of Elaine Desrosiers. Elaine, a mother of 4 children here at EPB passed away a little over a year ago. We are so pleased to announce that we received 162 donations this year! All of these donations will play an important role is saving a life and we thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to help a fellow human being. We are proud of all of our volunteers, students, faculty and parents alike, who found time to help us.Looking forward to next year! Kim Kouri, Laurie Hartlen and all of the coordinators for the EPB Blood Drive! We are looking for volunteers: you will make a difference in the second living environment of your children. Wondering how to get more involved in the school? We have some exciting opportunities. We are looking for people to fill the following roles: Vice-President Fundraising, Vice- President Communication. "Volunteers are not paid – not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless." SPRING NEWS LETTER 2014
