She has worked hard and pushed herself to help her fellow teachers as well as create a welcoming environment for her kids in her classroom and she will go above and beyond for her teammates.

STEAM Night
EHIS will hold its first STEAM night Tuesday, November 13, from 5:00-7:00. We have added Science, Technology, Engineering, and Arts to our Math night. Families will be able to visit teachers' rooms to explore and create fun projects. Come build catapults, electric circuits, towers, and more. Test wind and solar power, create codes used in technology, and play fun math games. We hope to see you there!
Coat Drive!
Book Fair!
EHIS has teamed up with Cash Express to collect coats for their 14th Annual Coats for Kids Drive. We will collect new or gently used coats between November 12th and December 12th. Time to clean out those closets! Families in need of coats will also have the opportunity to request them.
Our fall Scholastic Book Fair will take place November The book fair will be open each day from 7:30-3:00, except on the last day of the fair. It will close at noon on the last day. The book fair will also be open during STEAM Night on Tuesday, November 13, from 5:00-7:00. The online fair will be available from November 7-20 at scholastic.com/bookfairs. Money raised at the book fair benefits the EHIS Library. Please stop by to see our great selection of books and to support our library!
Holiday Lunches
The cafeteria will be preparing annual Holiday Lunches! We encourage you to come and eat with your child.
Thanksgiving Dinner will be on Thursday, November 15. Christmas Dinner will be Thursday, December 13. School age children can eat for free. Other children will be $3.75 and adults are $5.00. You may pay with a check or cash but NO credit/debit cards. Perfect change is always preferable, if possible.
Winter Wonderland
The Winter Wonderland Social Event will be Thursday, 11/29, from 3:30-5:00. The cost of the event will be $5. Students will stay after school and then enjoy music in the gym. They may purchase drinks, food, and novelties in the cafeteria. They may also purchase pictures or hair paint as well. EHIS students have found this event enjoyable in the past, and we are sure they will enjoy it again. Look for information and permission slips mid-November.
Send a Shout-Out!
Take some time and write an encouraging Shout-Out to any EHIS student or staff member. Shout-outs will be done during announcements between now and 12/17.
