Do Now Please write your HW in your agenda. Please look over your project checklist on page 27 and check off what you have finished!  Pay attention for a brief presentation on making good procedures

Procedure Writing Guidelines Procedure is written step-by-step.  1. ___________________________________________________________  2. ___________________________________________________________  3. ___________________________________________________________ Procedure is written in imperative tense (no pronouns).  Place the beaker on to the hot plate. Stir the mixture with a glass stirrer for 2 minutes.  Then you put the beaker on the hot plate and make sure you stir the liquid for 2 minutes. Procedure instructions are specific.  Pour 20 mL of water into the 50 mL beaker.  Pour the water into a beaker. ✓ ✓ ✗ ✗

After You Finish Your Procedures Create a section below your procedures. Title it Potential Problems In this section:  Anticipate problems you might come across in your experiment.  Discuss independent variables you have to make sure you eliminate.  Example: If testing how different levels of light affect plant growth then all of the plants have to get the same amount of water.

Lab Project Work Please retrieve a laptop and begin work on your lab procedure. Be sure to follow the procedure writing guidelines! Procedure Writing Guidelines Procedure is written step-by-step. Procedure is written in imperative tense (no pronouns). Procedure instructions are specific.
