Presentation transcript:

Our school is one of the oldest in Moscow which was built more than 70 years ago. Many generations have been studied there and most of our teachers are former Red school students.

Nowadays it is a highly-developed comprehensive school with gymnasium classes and advanced study of computer science. We collaborate with three experimental areas in different scientific fields and cooperate with leading Moscow institutes and universities. Our goal is to provide high quality learning and teaching, enabling everyone to reach their full potential.

We believe that every person is unique and we work together in an inclusive environment of mutual respect and consideration valuing everyone’s contribution. Through our partnership with local and wider community we aim to support our young people in successfully taking their place in society.

The emblem of our school symbolizes the unity and effective relationship with all our students, teachers and parents. In the center of our emblem there is a book and a rising sun which symbolize knowledge and education. Our motto is “Let everyone find oneself». It means that we have a resolute determination to succeed, do our best and strive to do better still.

Our staff is very professional. We have two honored teachers, 25 teachers of high qualification and many of them are the winners of different professional contests. It helps our pupils to raise standards of their achievements because our teachers demonstrate them a good example.

Red School’s highly qualified and experienced staff deliver a broad, balanced and motivating curriculum which is designed to meet the needs of individual students and to lay the foundation for lifelong learning. We set challenging yet achievable targets for students and provide the support and guidance necessary for them to succeed. Progress is regularly monitored and reported home to parents in our local school network “Sinergy”.

Homework is integral to students’ success; students are encouraged to take advantage of the supervised homework club which is available after school for primary learners. Our Learning Support team provides specialist in-class support, small group teaching and individual work to ensure that each student has access to the curriculum.

Our Red school has a reputation for being inclusive, welcoming and innovative. We provide a broad range of primary, secondary and post- secondary school subjects which are professionally taught.

We have high expectations of students’ behavior, attendance, punctuality, appearance and commitment to work. For our part we ensure that students are well prepared for the future, having the opportunity to gain the right qualifications and experience which lead to success in higher education and employment.

We constantly monitor student progress, review the curriculum, teaching methods and pastoral support to ensure that students are able to achieve their best. Our reward system recognizes effort, progress, attainment, attendance and social responsibility. Award presentation assemblies are held regularly for all year groups.

Our students demonstrate high educational level on final exams and intermediate certification. Practically all our students continue their education in leading Moscow universities and institutes. Our school is proud of its wide range of extra- curricular activities. It is very adequately equipped and resourced.

We have two science laboratories, three computer classrooms, a large art and craft workshop; an impressive psychological studio; a gymnasium; a resource centre with a well-stocked library of books as well as access to computer, the internet and duplicating facilities; a wide range of classrooms including acoustically designed music room; and a large open area used as playground.

We encourage all students to take advantage of the many extra-curricular activities and wider opportunities available at Red School. Students of all ages are also encouraged to show responsibility, initiative and to think of others, through participation in student meetings, voluntary work and in supporting charities.

Our experience has shown that students achieve greatest success when home and school work together. We particularly welcome parents’ involvement in supporting and encouraging children with their school work; monitoring homework through the student planner; reinforcing the school’s Code of Conduct; ensuring full attendance and correct uniform and by attending parents’ evenings and other school activities. We keep parents well informed about school, their children’s progress and achievements.

Red School has a positive ethos which recognizes the needs and aspirations of the individual and encourages all students to feel confident and enthusiastic about learning.
