3 Six Steps for Successful Planning Identify a need within your community Contact other community organizations for possible collaboration Calculate costs and determine your budget for the project Establish a timeline and measurable goals Create a work plan for reaching project goals Publicize the project Planning Service Activities Leo Club Service Activities

4 Bullying Invite your peers to sign a “No Bullying” pledge Disaster Preparedness and Response Make emergency preparedness kits and distribute them Environment Organize a clean-up to keep lakes, rivers and oceans clean Health Host, volunteer or promote a blood drive Hunger Deliver meals to those in need, such as the elderly or disabled Service Project Ideas Leo Club Service Activities

5 Implement projects to help children in need Collect food and clothes for children in need Repair a local park or playground Start an after-school tutoring program Make cards or care packages for hospitalized children Raise money for immunization programs Host a party or field trip for underprivileged children Spotlight on Children Leo Club Service Activities

6 Leos and Lions have an opportunity to learn from each other. Leos can:  Share successful fundraising projects  Offer social networking support to help Lions promote their service projects and signature events  Host discussion forums about club diversity and innovative projects with Lions Lions can:  Host career networking events with Leos  Assist Leos with planning service projects and fundraising  Invite Leos to attend Lions meetings Leos and Lions Serving Together Leo Club Service Activities
