3 Goals JCI has FIVE goals in 2014 These goals have their roots in JCI 2014 -2018 strategic plan JCI will enable communities to achieve sustainable impact.JCI will create an environment in which people are motivated toward positive change.JCI will create a financial plan that invests in long-term goals.JCI will bring together like-minded partners in order to expand mutual impact.JCI will connect people, their communities and the global society.

4 Our main concentration in the area will be to create sustainable IMPACT with Active Citizenship Projects: to expand the IMPACT by increasing local communities where we actively run projects to deepen the IMPACT with creating Active Citizenship Projects that are relevant with local community needs We will be working to provide development opportunities to empower young people. And our long term target will be the global network of active citizens in Area Europe. In period of 2014, we will work hard to Unite Europe to Impact!

5 Actions in the 2014 Implementation Plan for Europe* which are related to Special Recognition Committee Program Targets and Measures in 2014 Implementation Plan for Europe IMPACT  1 ACF project per LOM  Project Gallery: 206 Projects in Area Europe MOTIVATE  3 winners in the Area for each Impact Month  3 project recognition during EC from local organizations per each VP  3 project recognition during WC from local organizations per each VP INVEST  JCI Foundation: Fund raising for 3 winners of each impact month. COLLABORATE  3 Local Recognition Showcase event per each VP in national level (presenting local projects)  4 Recognition Showcase event by Recognition Committee (EPM, EC, GPS, WC) CONNECT  Monday Morning Messages: 52 Messages  4 quarterly newsletter  3 promotional movies * The targets in color represents the suggestions of the Special Recognition Committee for Europe.

6 Increase impact by conducting more JCI Active Citizen Framework projects in local communities while supporting global initiatives. Meet all National Presidents during the National Presidents Meeting to set a goal for Impact. Promote ACF/ UN MDG Projects during JCI Impact Months in close concert with UN Affairs Commissioners. Organize showcases during EC, GPS and World Congress (Promoting visible and measurable impact on local level; both to recognize impactful projects and inspire others to initiate impactful projects) Support UN MDGs, Nothing But Nets and other initiatives by creating awareness during international events in collaboration with UN Affairs Commissioners. Assign each National organization a goal to develeop local ACF/ UN MDG projects meeting 5 main strategies of JCI (via EVP, VPs and NPs) Launch a Facebook page and publishing quarterly newsletters (promoting visible, measurable impact (best practices) on local level; both to recognize impactful projects and inspire others to initiate impactful projects) Goals for Special Recognition Committee for Europe

7 Create an environment in which people are motivated towards positive change. Promote measurable and impactful (meeting JCI strategic plan) local/ national projects through the social media, during JCI Events Review submissions for Local Organization recognitions (through criterias based according to their contribution to 5 strategic goals) Encourage NOMs and LOMs to initiate collaborative projects with their Twinnings Evaluate project entries and select three winners per Area for each Impact Month. Recognize projects which have measurable impact on local level, during EC and WC. Recognize projects in local level which has measurable impact during National Conferences and Summits. Send letter and certificate of recognition to Impact Month winners and Local Organizations recognition winners. Organize Recognition Ceremonies during EC and WC and Local Conferences and Summits. Make possible contacts both between National Organizations and within National organizations (this means between Local organizations) via EVP and VPs also with the participation and the support of the Area Director for the progress of Special Recognition Program. 8 Create a financial plan that invests in long-term goals. Inform and support NPs to be contact with the Grant Councilor for funding recognized projects. Inform and support NPs to seek corporate partners (in contact with Sponsorship Appointees) for their projects to maximize impact. Connect JCI Foundation and the winners of each impact month for fund raising opportunities. Goals for Special Recognition Committee for Europe

9 Bring together like-minded partners (from all sectors of society) in order to expand mutual impact. Create best practice sharing opportunities during EPM, European Conference, GPS and World Congress.. Carry project showcases to meetings that all sectors of civil society meet during JCI events to support possible partnerships Recognize JCI Local Organizations across the world to honor the day thatJCI was founded, JCI Active Citizens Day, by running projects (encourage them in collaboration with UN Affairs commissioners) Participate My World Campaign / Sustainable Development Goals Post 2015 Program during EPM, EC,GPS and WC that are organized by UN Affairs Commissioners and introducing recognized best practices. Turn the facebook page and project gallery a place where people with impact stories meet. Recognize projects with impact stories through showcases during JCI Global Partnership Summit Plan possible showcases during European Partnership Summit (which is on implementation) Goals for Special Recognition Committee for Europe

10 Connect people, their communities and the global society. Promote Special Recognition via social media and direct contact with National Presidents. Encourage the recognition of projects which are run by implementing Active Citizen Framework Launch a Facebook page and publish quarterly (digital) newsletter. Set up online and face-to- face meetings with EVP, VPs assigned to Europe and NPs (seperate meetings and/ or joining their periodic skype calls, attending their meetings during EPM, EC and WC) Deliver regular announcements and/ or information sharings through Monday Morning Messages each week to National Presidents to build communication. Produce and distribute videos at the end of each Impact Month, announcing Impact Month winners with the pictures and datas of their projects. Goals for Special Recognition Committee for Europe

13 2014 Terms of Reference Special Recognition Program Committee Member The Special Recognition Program Committee Member will enter no agreement, pledge nor make any formal statement or any binding agreement without prior approval of the JCI President or JCI Secretary General. The Committee Member will adhere to the JCI Constitution and Policy Manual. The Special Recognition Program Committee Member, appointed by the President, is required to act on JCI's behalf under the guidance and approval of the President or the Secretary General, and is guided by the following Terms of Reference: 1. Promote Special Recognition via social media and direct contact with National Presidents. 2. Evaluate project entries and select three winners per Area for each Impact Month. 3. Review submissions for Local Organization recognitions. 4. Send letter and certificate of recognition to Impact Month winners and Local Organizations recognition winners. 5. Provide periodic reports as required by the following schedule:  January 15: Implementation Plan  May 31: Midyear Progress Report  September 30: World Congress Final Report NOTE: The position of Special Recognition Program Committee Member does not carry a formal budget, however, a request for funding for specific projects may be submitted. Such is not to be taken for granted, and will depend on the availability of funds.
